Our Commitment to Covid-19 Prevention
– Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment, for all staff members
– Masks will be worn by all adults, indoors and near children outdoors
– Children will be encouraged to wear masks (parents provide enough for a week) when in indoors. Masks are removed and stored in their personal plastic box. Masks removed at naptime, during meals or while outside.
-Daily Temperature Checks
-Sanitation Stations including soap and water or hand sanitizer
-Touchless Sign In and Out
-Daily Communication Online with Families
-Daily Sanitation of all Manipulatives in Center
-Higher Level of ongoing sanitizing including Hepa Air Filtering units in each classroom
-Smaller Class Groups sizes, when possible
– Extended Wellness Policy: 48 hours “wellness, before returning to care” after symptoms of illness.
Children in our younger class, 2-year-olds (or who have difficulty for developmental reasons), will be continually taught and encouraged to wear a mask. There will be no punitive pressure for mask issues.
Children under 2 years old are not required to wear masks.
During this Health Crisis, we are creating policies and procedures that will change overtime. Please be aware that these policies may change at any moment to ensure the highest level of safety we can to families who are in our care.
Risk/Mitigation Policy: We will ask parents who are traveling or hosting guests to clearly identify their risk mitigation, take a Covid test or to quarantine at home after this event. We know this course will ebb and flow over time.
We know how stressful this is and just want to keep our centers well. Please don’t hesitate to ask for clarification.
This doesn’t mean you are prevented from going camping or having the cousins visit, but we will help you to be aware and alert to how your child and family can return to school without risking everyone’s exposure.
We have extended our “Wellness” policies to a 48 hour “well at home with no symptoms” during this crucial time.
We are so grateful to the community we have and their high degree of selflessness in doing “the best we can” to keep our center operating and everyone well.
New Enrolling Protocol:
We ask that you visit our online pages and our Facebook presence (video tours are available on Facebook) to get a clear understanding of who we are. When parents are 90% sure that our center is a fit for their family then call for a scheduled tour.
We believe parents MUST visit in person our school. We will schedule a tour, including masks and temperature taking. The Director and parents will meet in a secluded space away from children, however the parent will be allowed a quick walk through of the facility. This allows parents to get a real view of the school, meet the staff and see our children engaged in play and learning.
Of course children are always encouraged to visit, too. Some parents may want to visit the first time without their child. That decision is up to you.
We have implemented additional Covid Protocols to help make decisions for Risk Mitigation and for notifying the center administration should your family become exposed.
